RUAG Australia selected for newly launched Defence Industry Secondment Program

RUAG Australia has been chosen to host their first secondee in 2021 for the Defence Industry Secondment Program (DISP). The DISP is an innovative two-way educational process for secondees to develop and enhance their relationship with Australian businesses delivering on Defence priorities. The Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price announced the launch of DISP today. ...

The program provides Defence personnel the opportunity to have a firsthand insight into the business of industry partners whilst working on business-critical short-term projects. The DISP provides an opportunity for a skilled individual to focus on a short-term project aligned to their area of expertise, whilst simultaneously supporting Australia’s sovereign defence capability.

“We are proud to have been selected to participate in this newly launched program and fully support the development of skilled Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel and Defence Australian Public Servants, resulting in a more adaptable defence industry,” says Terry Miles, General Manager of RUAG Australia.

“RUAG’s commitment to Defence personnel and Australian defence is at the heart of our business and a key component of our Corporate Social Responsibility program. On behalf of RUAG, thanks to ADF for developing a program enabling ADF and industry interaction” said Stephan Jezler, Senior Vice President, Aviation International.
